Helvetas, the Swiss Association for International Cooperation has been working in Vietnam since 1993. Our current projects focus on:

• Local planning and financing
• Decentralization and Public Administration Reform (PAR)
• Improving service delivery in agriculture and rural development
• Water and sanitation
• Promotion of organic agriculture and fairtrade

A staff of 30 competent and motivated project officers and assistants support our local partners in 7 current projects. The main focus of our activities is centered in Cao Bang province where the poverty rate is high, especially in the upland and remote areas.

Together with our local partners, Helvetas strives to promote sustainable development, which is oriented towards the fulfillment of the needs of disadvantaged people.
